Two words in one? No.

I often see "alot" and "alright" in print, but the correct usage is always in the form of two words: "a lot" and "all right."

Just remember, it takes two, baby!

  2. All right - it'll be alright, OK?

  3. A lot is always two words, but all right can actually be either now. It used to bug me when I saw it written as one word, and it especially bugged me when I started writing it that way myself, so I did some research, and it is being allowed.

  4. Agreed, but I think the two word form is still considered the better one.

  5. Can't say I've ever seen "alot" as one word...looks like a text message contraction to me.
